Would you recommend LV for motor insurance?

LV come out very cheap on a comparison website for motor cover. However online reviews are mixed.
On Trustpilot they seem awful but on Reevoo good - although with Reevoo they are really just the purchase experience. The real test is how they handle claims.
Would be interested in your experience.

Yes I would. I was a customer of their's for two years and made a claim in the final week of my last policy, after I had already arranged to move away at renewal for a cheaper alternative. They dealt with the claim just as well as if I was still a customer (which is what they're supposed to do but it doesn't always work like that). Driving in Ireland is covered as standard by LV and not by my current insurer and I wish I'd checked that before I moved!0

Not used them for Motor Insurance but used them for Holiday Insurance. Holiday had to be cancelled because of family ill health and there was no problems claiming.0

I signed up with them after my youngest passed her test but didnt have her own car. She would drive mine in holidays when a student, and I could add her for as many days as needed for a good price. Never had to make a claim but their processes seem very efficient and Im still with them as the renewal quote stays roughly the same ( full NCB)0

Used them numerous times with no issues but haven't had a need to call them eg accident.0

It's tricky because their price is very good, but the real test is whether they handle any claims fairly and efficiently.0

My last claim was with them. All handled well and sorted quickly. However despite the accident being in no way my fault the renewal premium doubled.
This was about 8 years ago and they have never been competitive since.0 -
Yes I would and not just because of the price! I had a claim earlier in the year and they handled it very well indeed. Helpful and very considerate and make a pretty traumatic accident just that little bit easier.0

I claimed against an LV insured driver in April, and they were great to deal with.
My car picked up and a hire car organised. Fair price for mines (write-off) and kept the courtesy car for a further 7 days.
Nobody was injured, but they asked if there was immediately, asked again if there had been any issues a couple of weeks later.
Liability was admitted within an hour of their insured driver reporting it.
So no idea what they are like for insurance, but a pleasure to make a claim against.0
