Hi
I received a Highview PCN at the end of November and hastily (rookie error) appealed online before reading the posts on here. Low and behold I got an email back today to say me appeal had been rejected.
Any tips or advice on what to do now would be welcome, I've gone round in circles trying to find the best way in the multiple threads.
I'm also based in Scotland as I believe that differs from the England & Wales.
Thanks

Dear Sir/Madam,
Thank you for your correspondence relating to your Parking Charge Notice (PCN).
The PCN was issued and the signage is displayed in compliance with The British Parking Association’s Approved Operator Scheme Code of Practice and all relevant laws and regulations.
Clear signs at the entrance of this site and throughout inform drivers of the terms and conditions that apply there, and it is not possible to access any part of the premises without passing multiple signs. The fact that you were unaware of the restrictions that are in place is not considered a mitigating circumstance for appeal.
In light of this, on this occasion, your representations have been carefully considered and rejected.
We can confirm that we will hold the charge at the current rate of [enter amount due] for a further 14 days from the date of this correspondence.
Yours faithfully,
Highview Parking Ltd0 -

ooops - Now you can see my rookie mistake
I use that car park frequently and not once have I seen the signs indicating the maximum parking duration. There are no signs when entering the car park where you would expect them to be. So the claims that they are prominently displayed is incorrect. I have been back since that date and again unaware of where these alleged signs are. Quite frankly the proposed charged is absolutely disgusting and a total scam. Even from the pics of my car you would expect to see signage on entering to indicate the maximum stay but clearly there isn’t unlike every other car park that has it.0 -

Which part of "Show us what you said in your appeal please." is difficult to understand.
The reason is simple. Umkomaas is trying to find out if you have said who was driving. If you want our help, we need to know. We don't need your opinions about it being a scam - we know!0 -
eh that is what I said!0
-
OK. If you have told them who was driving, then they can take you to court. You can't use the best defence of putting the onus on them to prove who was driving.0
-
So basically I've got no come back on them? Strictly speaking I didn't actually say I was driving.0
