Nissan Juke 2015

  • They aren't the prettiest of cars , I will be the first to admit it

Fuel and tax are one factor , bells and whistles inside the cabin

They are very marmite , you either love them or hate them but for what I have to spend and the spec of the car it is one of the better options for me

It wasn't my first choice but I can't make that fit my budget.

    Inverse Tardis car.

Massive on the outside, tiny inside.

Built to shield the driver who's literally terrified of getting behind the wheel from the experience as much as possible.

.......you missed the bit about built for drivers who have no use for a rear view mirror.

That said they are basically a Micra with a blobby body on top so the mechanicals are usually sound.

They are alright- there are thousands of them about. I wouldn't touch one because of who made the engine and where the car was put together, but that is just my personal bias.
I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

(except air quality and Medical Science ;))

I like the styling of them but when I was looking all the reviews for them were very so so and every one said the similar sized other Nissan, can't recall the name but it was on of those unpronounceable ones, was a much better buy.

    It is a Clio actually.

The same chassis is used in the micra, clio, twingo, sandero & duster. (long wheelbase version of chassis)

Who made the engine and where is the car assembled?

    Renault.

Sunderland, unless it is a JDM import, but that wouldn't have a 1.5DCi engine.

We had one, a 2014, my DW loved it. She has mobility issues and we bought mainly because we needed a 4/5 seat auto car with high easy access front seats that wasn't a SUV.
Fitted the bill and never gave any trouble but the sat nav wasn't good and you need to make sure you have the latest version when buying, look for the date on the sd card.

And what is wrong with Sunderland, their build quality is second to none,i think it is/was better than Japan,s and they produce too many cars to be doing it wrong.
