Evans Cycles has been acquired by Sports Direct. I asked them (Evans) to delete my personal data. I thought this extract from their email worth repeating:
"Please bear with us while we process your request. Due to the quantity and complexity of communications we have received, we are entitled to extend the time to respond to your request to 3 months from the original date you contacted us."
3 months to delete data? Really???

why not do a SAR on them , that way you will get all the inf you need (within 31 days) , then you can reply to evans and say to save you time and effort "this" is the info I want removing0

The Latest Post date/time of this thread keeps updating, even though there are no new posts. Is it poll voting which is causing this?0

Personal data = money making. First I ever heard of small business on data aqquisition bandwagon. Expect more small businesses to do this. However where are our rights in all of this??0

Otherwise they are a reputable Cycle Retailer with a great record. I would buy a petite bike from them but not wish for them to have my personal financial and other transaction data.0
