Satisfied CCJ

Options
Hi There,

I was hoping someone can clarify this for me.

I had a CCJ which is now fully paid and this has been paid after the 30 day period.

I have sent an email to CCBC @ Justice to show that the account is now fully paid and closed this also included the original credit agreement number and the court Reference number.

Now i have sent this will they update the registry and my credit file? I do not want a certificate of satisfaction or whatever it is called. Or do i need to pay for that for my credit file to be updated?

Thanks.

  • It'll be updated on your credit files. You don't need to do anything else, but check it in a month or so.

    .
If you are correct, then you paid it off too late and it will remain on the register for the 6 years
  • It will get marked as paid but won't be removed from your files as you paid it after the 30 day window

Thanks guys. Yeah I understand it will be there for 6 years it's just when I tried googling the answer it just kept coming up I needed to pay the court £15 to get it marked as satisfied even though I have paid it off

The CCBC will update the trust register which is a public record that the CRA take the info from. Have they said they will take your proof, they often wait for the creditor to inform them.

It's down to the claimant to notify the court.

Some don't, so for belt and braces you can send proof you paid to the court (and the fee) to get it marked satisfied
