I don't think that Barclaycard search Experian. I think they use Equifax.

Not sure how up-to-date it is, but there's a list of which CRA the mainstream lenders use here. I recall a similar forum thread about this, but I can't seem to find it.

  • Bit of an update guys - Expierian i'm shown as having a great credit score of 981 out of 999 (No credit is showing the CC & Loan are missing),

    Noddle i'm shown as 564 (2 out of 5) I don't know what it's out of? it says 710??

Then Clear score is just showing a ? for my score - guessing Noddle is most accurate to be fair, how do I update the other 2 and whats the next step forward to getting a balance transfer?

    Thanks for all the help!

    Ben
  • None of your scores are the most accurate. We covered this in an earlier lesson.

What do you mean by updating the other two? With what?

You are looking at the score when you should be looking at your credit history :)

Edit: A lender neither see nor uses your credit score. They only score you against the data held in your report, added to the data you supply in your application.

Signing up directly with them or via ClearScore etc. will yield the same results. But will be free via Clearscore and the like

Not always Gary..depends if they send the information in full or part (MSE states i have 1 credit card when i have 7) and Credit wise as it decided to interpret the Q marker differently to everyone else stated i was firstly in arrears and the missed payments...totally wrong.

If your needing proof id get the Statuary report direct...the free scores are pretty to look at but wouldn't trust them.
  • Okay understandable, so what's the next step because expierian should be showing lloyds cc and tesco loan but it's not
  • If your lenders don't report to them, they won't appear.
  • Checked the chart and lloyds and tesco both do
  • What chart? The MSE one that hasn't been updated for nearly 3 years?
  • Fair enough, i'm just stumped what to do next?
