Loft insulation top-up
Hi all. I need some advise. I'm about to increase the thickness of the insulation in my loft. About 10 years ago I laid 150mm between the rafters. It was the stuff that comes wrapped up for easy laying, and one side of the wrapping is silver foil, which is laid facing up. I want to lay another layer of 170mm standard (unwrapped) Knauf insulation blanket at 90 degrees, on top of this. Will the foiled surface of the first layer cause any problems when I cover it up with the new layer?
Thanks, in anticipation.
