Hi .. great thread and support here which I've tried to wade through, getting a bit confused regarding how all this plays out in Scotland, apologies if i've missed it.

Details; I own a company one of my vehicles has been issued by MET for parking at McDonalds in Edinburgh for over 90 mins. MET sent PCN I replied with template also stipulating that the driver of the car is unidentified on their supplied photos. I also contacted McDonalds who refused any help. I've just received their reply predictably refusing my points with a straight bat.
They've offered 2 options;
1) Pay
2) ' BY LAW WE ARE ALSO REQUIRED TO INFORM YOU THAT THE OMBUDSMAN SERVICES PROVIDES AN ALTERNATIVE DISPUTE RESOLUTIONSERVICETHAT WOULD BE COMPETENT TO DEAL WITH YOUR APPEAL. HOWEVER, WE HAVE CHOSEN NOT TO PARTICIPATE IN THEIR ALTERNATIVE DISPUTE RESOLUTION SERVICE.

I've no idea what number 2 means it doesn't seem to be an option at all..

Thoughts?? My impulse is just to ignore but if I can help by using my time to beat these frauds please let me know?

Thanks

    1) Ignore
    2) Remove the "Engineers meeting" from your first post as it suggests a business meeting.

    Are your vehicles leased through a leasing company? Are MET dealing directly with you?

    Simply because in Scotland there is no way they can transfer liability to the keeper.

    So if they do not know who the keeper is, they have no-one to chase.

    Isn't it explained in the NEWBIES FAQ sticky? It's what the sticky was designed for, to save beleaguered regulars being distracted from more complex cases by having to type out basic information, ad nauseam each day, to save others having to do a bit of research themselves.
