I will probably thought of as a thicko for not knowing but here goes
Years ago (Possibly more than 30 ) my wife and I had seperate current accounts Nat West and HSBC few years later we changed them both to joint account holders. Now we are in our 80s and to make things tidier we have decided to close the HSBC one and use the Natwest acount only. The thing is I have always used a HSBC (Visa) credit card, will I still be able to use the HSBC credit card after closing the HSBC account.
Thanks

And the question is not stupid: my son (who is 26; a law graduate; and works for HMRC) recently asked me exactly the same question.0

Hi Alan, I don't want to be disrespectful but it may be wise to reconsider putting all the eggs in the same basket. This forum is full of stories where people only had one account and it was suspended and they had no access to their money for months. Maybe you should leave both accounts up and running for some piece of mind as anything can happen when dealing with banks nowadays. The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.0

Gentlemen
Thank you for your replies, I'm glad I won't have to mess about filling in forms to apply for a new credit card
