Drp parking fine

Hi All,
i did go through the old threats but mine is a different situation so had to me a new one.
so i sold this car to a trader around a year ago and he took the full logbook so after around 6 months i get a letter/fine from MET parking but i ignored it as i sold the car atleast 6 months before. so after a couple of months i get a letter/fine from DRP debt recovery Plus saying i need to pay or they will take court action, i rang them up and explained the situation but they didnt want to know anything and said i am still the registered keeper so i have to pay, rang dvla they said they said they want a letter saying i sold a car so they can take it off my name. so i get a 3rd letter drom DRP with a date to pay 14/12. rang them up again today and told them im still waiting for dvla to send me a conformation but they didnt want to know anything...
soo the question is should i pay the fine and leave it or ignore them as i sold the car 6 months before the fine was issued.
HELP PLZZZ
thanks

The newbies faq thread covers debt collectors letters
You need to read up there - #4 covers debt collectors
You ignore them
Also read this thread on why there's no need to post about getting letters from DRP

Well, DO NOT CONTACT DRP again. They are pointless, powerless and above all idiots

What do you mean the trader took the full log book, I assume you mean the V5 which YOU should have filled in and sent off the part stating you had sold to a trader.
Contacting The DVLA now won't help with the PPC, you need to write to them and tell them the date you sold the car, they will want proof, they can only get your details once from the DVLA, so will hound you.
Ignore DRP as suggested, useless muppets and liars they will give up eventtually MET may in the future try a claim but aren't one of the litigious ones.
And it's not a fine it's an invoice.0 -
i did send it but dvla never received it so..
thanks for that0
