2017 VCS now received 'Claim Form'

Good evening,
Firstly, thank you for all the guidance so far, FAQs etc.
In December 2017, I parked my sister's car (I was the regular driver) at my local sports club where we have 'parking permits' These are for parking on a road which is publicly accessible, with a barely used museum at the other end and with signs on the opposing side of the road. These are the usual, vague signs. I need to double check but as far as I am aware there is no
As it is a large club, there were no permits this one morning. 45 minutes later I was told one of the 'Wastes of Space' men was putting a note on my car. I walked out, with a 'permit' to which the man looked at, said he "had to complete the form", but that I should appeal and it "will be accepted". He then made notes I had returned with a permit, showed me this, and submitted it on his 'phone'. He then handed me the usual black and yellow "ATTENTION DOCUMENT ENCLOSED, THIS IS NOT A PARKING CHARGE NOTICE". This was at no point affixed to my car. Being naive, upon returning to the country after Christmas 2017 and receiving 2 of these letters I appealed this. The main points being that nothing was affixed to the card, which they responded "We advise that the card left on the vehicle is only a courtesy to inform/alert drivers that they may have contravened the Terms & Conditions of parking on the car park and to prevent a recurrence of a parking contravention." Regardless, the location is certainly not a car park.
Upon looking at the online info when requested, there is a photo of the car at 10:49 and then more with the notice in the background at 10:02. The 'CN' is documented at 11:05, this is not true as he was taking photos... Is this time difference an issue with regards to a grace period?
I have had several letters since this and now, a year later, a Claim form for £185. I have followed the instruction on here and submitted an AoS today, being the first day I have received this (I've been away). I think I have 16 days from today of the 28 remaining.
I have photos of everything related to this, but only 1 of the letters sent.
Since this, outside of business hours (9-5 M-F) we no longer have to display such a permit.
If somebody help me build my defence I would really appreciate it! And advise on the next step etc.
Many thanks!

What is the Issue Date on your Claim Form?
Was this Claim Form issued by the County Court Business Centre in Northampton or somewhere else?0 -
Hi, thanks for the reply.
The issue date is 29/11/2018, and yes it was from 'Money Claims Online, COUNTY COURT BUSINESS CENTRE, NORTHAMPTON'0 -
With a Claim Issue Date of 29th November, and having done the Acknowledgement of Service in a timely manner, you have until 4pm on Wednesday 2nd January 2019 to file your Defence.
That's three weeks away. Loads of time to produce a perfect Defence, but don't leave it to the very last minute.
When you are happy with the content, your Defence should be filed via email as suggested here:-
Print your Defence.
- Sign it and date it.
- Scan the signed document back in and save it as a pdf.
- Send that pdf as an email attachment to CCBCAQ@Justice.gov.uk
- Just put the claim number and the word Defence in the email title, and in the body of the email something like 'Please find my Defence attached'.
- Log into MCOL after a few days to see if the Claim is marked "defended". If not chase the CCBC until it is.
- Do not be surprised to receive a copy of the Claimant's Directions Questionnaire, they are just trying to keep you under pressure.
- Wait for your DQ from the CCBC, or download one from the internet, and then re-read post #2 of [URL="https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4816822NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread[/URL] to find out exactly what to do with it.
0 - Sign it and date it.

see the NEWBIES FAQ sticky thread post #2 and read the example defences, then draft your own defence and post it below0

Ok great, thanks KeithP for the advice. I will do exactly that!
Saints1321 & Redx, thanks for the replies.
Is the best defence be disputing the 'contract' which they are claiming has been breached? I will get on with creating my defence tomorrow. The whole scam is infuriating and energy-sapping!!0 -

Just a friendly warning for you. Sometimes a person comes on this forum whose agenda is not what you think.
