EON website issues persist?
Is anybody else having problems with Eon's website?
I can't log in to set up a new account, nor submit meter readings, or even fill out their online contact form as they all return website error pages. The site appears to have been down for weeks.
An engineer called last week to take meter readings but they refuse to speak to my old supplier to confirm the final readings so they won't close down my old account.
I've managed to find an enquiry email address and threatened them with trading standards.
Absolute nightmare from day zero. Wondering if others are having problems with them as well?

Website working fine for me.
It's not for any meter reader paid for by your supplier to go and contact any other supplier about your meter.
I suggest you ring your supplier, who will take any meter reading from you that you are attempting to provide, and expalin what will happen next if you ask.0 -

Good morning micronaut,
If I'm reading this correctly, then you're changing to us.
The website is also working fine here for me, so I wonder if you have the latest version of your browser.
As browsers get old, most companies (including those who have made the browser themselves) stop supporting out of date versions. This is because the browsers don’t have the latest functionality to allow modern internet sites to work correctly, or are not compatible with special software used by people with physical or sensory impairments.
At the moment the website supports.- Latest version of Mozilla Firefox
- Apple Safari version 5.1.7 upwards
- Latest version of Google Chrome
- Opera.
When a change of supply is going through, it would normally be the customer that provides the new supplier with the meter reads to start the account from.
These are then sent to the losing supplier, via a number of third party companies to verify the reads, this is what can take some time.
Once the reads have been agreed, the old supplier will produce your final bill to the same reads your new supplier opens the account from. The meter readers don't do this.
I hope this helps to explain a little.
