14 year old daughter wants to sign up to my space. I know very little about it so just looking for advice, is she safe using it?
She tells me it is like MSN where she has to accept people but how do I make sure she is safe?
Any advice appreciated.

Just like the rest of the internet and not just the virtual world but the real world too, there are good and bad elements to myspace. The key to your daughters experience of it and your sanity is that you talk about safety. And you are going to have to join the learning curve too.

Make sure she sets her profile to private to avoid idiots she doesn't know reading anything she doesn't want them to. Personally if it was my son i'd rather he used facebook as most people on there go by their real names and you can have more privacy (i have accounts with both)
