CPMS Manchester

Hello,

my work place car park is run by CPMS Manchester and I have come to my car this evening at 5pm after being parked since 9am. To find a PCN from CPMS Manchester, the PCN has my reg correct but the make of the car is not correct - on the PCN it say CITRON, by my car is not a CITRON.

is this ground to have the ticket voided? plus they are charging £100 or £60 if paid in 14days.

should I appeal now or wait for the notice to keeper?

I have read the sticky but I am a simple sole who gets confused really easily

Thanks

Are you avoiding telling us that your car is a Citroen?

Maybe like this forum, the writer of your ticket had problems with accented letters too.

That simple spelling mistake will make no difference.
  • haha.. no my car is a Renault

What reason did CPMS put on the ticket to justify its issue?

If it's your workplace car park, can your employer assist in getting CPMS to cancel the ticket?
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

  • Hello,

I have tonight received Notice to keeper. there is no appeals option other than to write to them, but in the newbie thread its suggest not to send it by royal mail and recorded delivery, obvs if there is no appeals option on their website the only option is to send it via Royal Mail, BUT Should I send the letter recoded delivery or just normal 1st class?

I go back to the Windscreen ticket it says make Citroen, however missplet "CITRON" but now on the Notice to keeper is says make of vehicle Renault which is in fact correct.

due to this inconsistency what is likely hood of having the ticket cancelled? I have asked for my employer to cancel the ticket but the building is managed by bruntwood and we are just a tennant so I got no joy there!

I have also noticed that CPMS have been naming and shaming parking offenders on their website cpmsmanchester.com/locations. Is this/ is this not a breach of DPA in someway?

    any help is much appreciated,
    Kind regards

I wrote this a few days ago:

When sending stuff to either a PPC or their solicitor, never use any service that requires a signature.

All that does is allow the intended recipient to refuse to sign and then all you have is proof of non-delivery. Not quite what you want.

Send it using standard First Class post getting a free Certificate of Posting from the Post Office counter.
It is deemed delivered two working days later.

    Hope that helps.

LOL, no chance! The scumbag firms make it up as they go along.

No-one here pays them unless a Judge says so (very rare to lose in court, on here).
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
