I finished a roll of wrapping paper today and was left with a (quite sturdy) thick cardboard roll. I hate throwing stuff away so I'm going to chop it up and use it to sew seeds in. The cardboard will eventually disintegrate.
I also cut up plastic milk containers to use as scoops for pet/bird food.
Anything else?

I noticed that an old BT telephone directory could be re-cycled into an address book...... all you need do is cross out everyone you don’t know.0

My old cat used to love them as a toy.
We'd have it in the middle of the hall, me one end, him the other.
I'd flick a ping pong ball down the tube and he'd sit totally ignoring it until the last second and then thrust his paw into the tube - right up to the shoulder - and hit it back.
I miss the little !!!!!!.0 -
Have you seen the price of Christmas cards?? If you’ve still got last years ones you could return them to the sender with the simple inscription “Same to you”0

If its a sturdy tube, be careful it doesnt go mouldy if you use for seeds, I make paper pots from newspaper, and i noticed when I rolled them a bit thicker, they went mouldy0

Cut into segments and stuffed with fluff, paper, hair from a brush etc. Cardboard tubes make great DIY fire starters for stoves or BBQs. I cut the bottoms off of milk containers and use them as cloches for seedlings or up ended and used as water reservoirs for tomatoes or cucumbers in the green house.0

I get through loads of 4 pint plastic cartons of milk. I always intend to save one from the recycling to put under my car seat for emergency use with the Shewee that resides in the glove compartment. So far I haven't quite managed it (getting the empty carton into the car, nor using the Shewee).Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!
