Hello
We've just got mains gas piped to the house. As of yet we do not have a meter so obviously no gas in the house. Our question is : How do we get a meter and supplier?
I can't chose via a comparison site as i currently have zero info to input.
I don't want to contact a company to get a meter if they are not the most cost effective to get gas from.
Catch 22 i think?
Any help please.

The easiest route to having a meter fitted, is to ask your present Elec supplier to do the install & supply your Gas - Not opting for a Fixed Price tariff allows you to Switch your supplier to someone cheaper within weeks of the install.
It's wise to take a meter reading weekly for the first year so you can build a true figure for your seasonal and annual gas consumption0 -
Thanks for that, i'll make that my first port of call.
Any further views welcome.0 -

Took your advice, British Gas fitting a meter, fixed term contract with NO exit fees. Can go to another deal / supplier after 3 weeks without issue.
