Free motor legal cover

I have just renewed my car insurance and renewed with LV through my Unison membership. I got a very good deal, over £100 cheaper than my renewal quote from Admiral, so I snapped it up. However, I noticed that legal cover (which I normally have) was not available. LV told me that I have this cover through my Unison membership. I was looking into this, when I found a site called freemotorlegal.com. They offer free motor legal cover if the accident was not your fault. They noticed that the insurance/legal companies get all the fees from the at fault person's insurance company if they win and absorb the costs if they lose, so they are offering the service for free.
I have signed up to this but wondered if any other money savers had come across this before? If not, it might be useful to other money savers, so I thought I would share it.

The golden question - what's in it for them?
Nobody gives anything away for free without a good reason.
And, in this case, it's that it's no more than a no-win-no-fee deal. If they don't think there's a good chance of winning, they won't go near it. Just like a credit-hire "accident management" company.0 -
OP, no point having a discount deal for Unison members with LV which includes legal cover, when Unison members get it as part of their union membership. I too am a Unison member with LV and got a great deal. Thanks for the info, though I agree with Adrian.
When I had a no fault claim years ago, the claim was handled by a third party company provided by my insurer so covered everything. No good if it's an at fault claim though.0
