Tax credits does anyone know?

Hi all.
My husband took early retirement 2 yrs ago. So our income is his private pension and I get carers allowance as a family member is severely disabled who I care for. We get tax credits for our 2 children
Anyways, whilst my hubby was working we always renewed our tax credit claim as normal, giving his gross income @ 25000.
Ive just found out we should have been putting down his pension contributions as an income deduction, he used to pay around 130 per month into his superannuation (he worked for the council.)
Meaning the income used to assess our claim has been overstated each year by about £1500+
Does anyone know if we can get this amended or is it too late now? Any extra cash would be so useful!!
Thank you in advance.

Was the pension deducted before or after tax?
It would be too late to do anything about it anyway.0 -
Hi
It was before tax. Gutted that it's too late to amend our info:(0 -
Wasn't it already taken into account on his P60 then?0
