Another DRO question (sorry)

Options
Hi StepChange advised a DRO for my husband and asked for his credit file. Noddle has my hubbys mobile phone on there as he pays monthly payments part for the airtime and part for the handset, we didn’t realise the phone would be on there so he’s just above the £20,000 by £400.

I spoke to the insolvency service today and asked if I or another family member could pay equal payments to his debts to bring the amount owed to below £20,000 and although she said yes they cannot object to a 3rd party making payments, she couldn’t clarify whether the DRO was likely to go ahead as it’s done case by case.

Does anyone have any advise?

    Hi

If you stick to one thread then those that have previously contributed will see your question.

The question here is whether an existing up-to-date mobile phone contract is a debt, and of course it isn't.

I've actually dealt with this one here
