I dont have enough money for a new kitchen but need some wall mounted units and also a new hob (I've removed the old gas hob which was integrated into the worktop).
Firstly, when can I find decent low cost wall units?
Secondly, if I buy en electric hob on gumtree how easy is it to fit? Would I need an electrician
Thirdly, the integrated oven is pretty old and the fan is noisy. Would I need to get a new oven with now unit around it? How easy is this to do myself?

Try Ikea for wall cabinets.
If you don’t have a socket to plug the electric hob into you will need an electrician. Some high power hobs will need a new cable to the fuse box.
Integrated electric ovens are easy to swap out your self. Usually a few retaining screws to remove and it pulls out. There should be a plug socket behind it.0 -
Try https://www.diykitchens.com for wall units.
If you're replacing a gas hob with an electric one, there most probably won't be a fused spur to connect the new hob too so you'll need an electrician. I hope you got a gas engineer to cap off the gas pipe left when you removed the old hob.0 -
Try gumtree or eBay for second hand kitchen, some sells several units only some sells complete kitchen including appliance. If you have gas supply, a freestanding gas hob & oven might be a cheaper option. We recently sold one that's only 3 years old for £150.0

Unless you plan on using a one or two ring hob, you will need an electrician to install a suitable supply from the consumer unit (fuse board) to the hob. If you are lucky, the existing oven might be wired up to a 45A circuit, but you need an electrician to check it out/Her courage will change the world.
Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.0 -

I don't want a gas hob.0 -
I'm comng late to this- so maybe you're sorted, but when we did exactly what you wish for- replaced an oven and hob, we found that basic electric ovens are only about 200-odd quid in places like B&Q;
and the advantage of the simpler ones are that they are rated 13 Amp, so you can simply plug them into an existing 13amp socket. So we bought two; much more spacious and flexible, and no more expensive than one purpose built double oven which in our case would have required a new heavier Amperage cooker circuit run from the Consumer Unit.
As oven are a standard size we simply fitted the two new ones into a new full height 600mm wide larder unit carcase, with a narrow infill panel below, and a shelf and door above so there's a perfect high, shallow cupboard for the cookbooks. And as we already have B&Q doors on the rest of the kitchen (a DIY upgrade to replace the peeling old melamine fronted ones a couple of years ago) it all matches perfectly!
I wouldn't mess about buying electrics on Gumtree when new ones are so cheap - change out of £300 for the Oven/hob pack. And any decent eletrician will probably get trade discount on 'em for you (although B&Q don't always apply the discount to kitchens)
Good luck0
