Hi!
My house has no gas supply & I'd like central heating.
Wales & West have quoted up to £700 to connect me to the mains, which is fine.
I'm currently with Eon & emailing them for a quote to have the GHS installed.
Is that the best thing to do? Should I be shopping around? or is it much the same muchness?

Thank you!

Id of thought local smaller plumbing contractors/firms for the system. Infrastructure provider for the supply connection. (Cadet here)

W & W will bring the gas to your house, but the pipe will just be capped at the end - They also allocate an MPRN.( Meter Point Ref. Number) to your address. BE SURE YOU GET THIS.

The simplest route to get a meter is ask Eon to fit it and be your Gas supplier - You can Switch to someone cheaper when the work is done.

For installing the boiler etc, use a local gas Safe plumber and get at least 3 quotes - 'Local' is important as the system will need annual servicing and repairs over time, so with the " I know where you live" card you won't need expensive maintenance contracts, such as those offered by BG
