Try a chargeback through your card provider. This shower of a company tries to ride roughshod over your consumer rights.

You could try complaining to Trading Standards, you're not the only complainant on here about them.
  • Hi, just thought I’d let you know that I managed to get a full refund on all the sale items I bought (£114) When they sent me the gift card I emailed rejecting it and insisting on a full refund, they of course declined based on their ‘strict refund policy’! I wrote to their complaints department and advised that their ‘strict refund policy’ does not negate the Consumer Contract Regulations which state that any distance selling contract can be cancelled if returned within 14 days. Within a week I had a full refund!

Technically it is to notify them within 14 days, and then return the goods within another 14 days. I believe the seller must refund within 14 days of receiving the notification.

The actual time is 14 days from when the seller receives the goods back or if earlier, 14 days from when they receive evidence that the goods have been sent back.

Fair point - I did say "I believe" rather than being categoric. ;)

The point I was really making is that goods do not need to be returned in 14 days (in order to comply with cancellation rights) - which was what michelle2306 implied. :)
  • I posted my message just to let anyone stumbling across this thread, as I did when I was first told I couldn’t have a refund, that it is possible to get a refund on sale items. Not to start a debate on when the 14 days become applicable 🙄

So there's a problem in ensuring information posted is accurate? After all, if someone comes across this thread (as you said) then they might be flustered into thinking they need to return goods in a rush. ;)
  • Hi, sorry for the late reply, but I too am having the same problem.

I ordered two items, both of which were of poor quality (very thin material) and true to form were in the “sale”.

I returned these items a couple of days after receiving them and AX Paris were in receipt of these returns on the 18th February.

I emailed them on Saturday to request a status update on the return, as I hadn’t received anything back. They replied this morning saying check my emails, as the gift voucher was sent to me. Not good enough! I’ve replied saying I’ve searched varying criteria in my Inbox, Junk and Trash folders and cannot find the email.

Furthermore, I don’t want a voucher for a company I refuse to order from again based on both the quality of the clothing and their poor policies and customer service.

Did you email your complaint to the enquiries email address? I want my money refunded, NOT a credit note! Many Thanks.
