Re-Booking WCA Assessment

Their call centre is currently unavailable due to "essential maintenance" and my appointment date is tomorrow.
I was advised a few weeks ago to ring back today to re-book as my mum isn't well enough to come with me at the moment, but how can i re-book if i can't get through ?
Is it worth going to my local jobcentre, so i can at least get it "official" that i'm trying to re-book ?
Could they maybe get through directly and not on the usual call centre number ?

You could email then explaining that you were unable to get through because of the 'essential maintenance.'

Is there no one else who could travel with you? I see from previous posts that you do not want them in the room with you so it wouldn't have to be anyone particularly 'close' to you.
Remember you can only rebook once.
If you do email keep trying the call centre number as it may not be 'out of action' all day.0 -

You know I didn't even think of emailing, even though i've been scouring their website this morning for other means of contacting them
. I don't really have anyone else i can call on to go with me unfortunately, so it'll have to be my mum.
I'll keep trying the number today so hopefully i'll get through, but i'll definitely email. thanks.0 -
Talk about sod's law - i just clicked "send" on the email and tried ringing again and i'm now through and on hold

just been told they can't push it back 4 weeks as the latest appointment they've got is the 28th of December which kind of tallies with what I was told two weeks ago with their appointment system only being able to book 3 weeks in advance.
The very unhelpful and uninterested man on the phone assured me i could ring back tomorrow morning and try again to re-book to see if they could do it any later and assured me it won't affect my ESA so i'll have to try that.0
