in Credit cards
Hi
As title states -
Can you pay a CC with a CC that is in credit for the same amount?
Seems a silly question, but I am awarding myself the :doh:of the year award, as I somehow managed to balance transfer a large sum to a credit card with only a few £'s owed  (meaning the wrong card :doh:)
Is there any way this can be done painlessly? Would be grateful for any help or advice, Thanks in advance.

As you have written your post - no.
However you can ring up the card lender that is in credit and ask them to send the money back - (they may well do this anyway).
To do as you have written you would need to withdraw cash on the card in credit to pay the one that is in debt - this will incur fees and interest.
Unless your card has a free money transfer option or a balance transfer option you cannot do what you want to do.0 -

I also phoned the card doing the balance transfer, and they said, ask them to send it back.

Will need to check up on the balance transfer option, but wouldn't hold my breath, but thanks for that.Always have 00.00 at the end of your mortgage and one day it will all be 0's :dance:MF[STRIKE] March 2030[/STRIKE] Yes that does say 2030  Mortgage Free 21.12.18 _party_Now a Part Timer from 27.10.190 -

Which company is it? Some people have succeeded in phoning companies and asking for credit balances to be paid to their bank account. There have been regular posts on it, search the stoozing forum.
Unfortunately some companies will always refuse, but posting which one is likely to get an indication of the likelihood.0 -
So, this morning managed to speak to "Live chat" - they said sending bank must ask for it back, and spoke to "a person" who said not to worry that when the credit lands in my account, I phone them and ask for it to be sent (refunded) back to source.
Two different stories. Lets hope the 2nd one is correct, but still a worry till it's all sorted out.
It is M&S's card that will end up with the credit balance.Always have 00.00 at the end of your mortgage and one day it will all be 0's :dance:MF[STRIKE] March 2030[/STRIKE] Yes that does say 2030  Mortgage Free 21.12.18 _party_Now a Part Timer from 27.10.190
