Bathroom mirror fitmemt

Hey,

I’ve got a mirror to fit with built-it LED’s and speaker, gucci, I know.

There is a shaving outlet almost exactly where I’m going to put the above mirror, can I just use a connector box to hardwire this in or will i need to have to put some sort of step down transformer / fused switch in between the 2.5mm cable and the mirror? If so, is it likely to be a 3A or 13A fuse?

Obviously not a sparky so go easy 🙏🏽

If it's a 2.5 mm cable from a power circuit it will need fusing down with a fused connection unit eg and a 3 amp fuse.

If it's from a lighting circuit it might still need fusing down to 3 amp - see manufacturer's instructions.

You will not need a transformer unless the mirror includes a shaver socket.

Will that fuse be alright next to the mirror or will it have to be outside the bathroom/in the airing cupboard in the bathroom?

OK next to the mirror as long as more than 60 cm from the edge of basin/shower/bath.
