Hi all,
Yesterday afternoon I have come home to find a supposed LBC from Vehicle Control Solutions. It's dated the 30th of November, conveniently. I've attached the links to copies of the documents they have sent me.
On the first letter it says the sum of £160 has been passed the their 'legal department' and they intend to commence legal proceedings. I'm really confused as to where this has come from, especially as I don't even recall the original supposed parking contravention.
I've also read on the forums that before we get to the LBC stage, that a compliant NtK must be sent - I've definitely not had anything about like this, with the contravention itself being supposedly issued in May this year. Also, I'm pretty sure somewhere on here it should mention some pre-action protocol information, if this is indeed a real Letter Before Claim?
At this point I've not been in touch with VCS, but I'm wondering how it's got to this stage in the first place, with no prior contact from them.
Thanks for your time,
ceecee.

send VCS DPO a SAR using GDPR
and send their legal dept an LBC rebuttal pending the SAR details being sent back
that way you will know the why because you willl have the NTK etc0 -
They can't add a £60 debt collection charge if you are pay the PPC or if they take you to court, scamming monkeys!0

Is the address on the vehicle's Registration Document(V5c) correct?
Have you moved recently and failed to update the V5c?
Don't guess. Please check it?
Hi KeithP,
I have changed address, but weeks before I set up a Royal Mail redirection. I've received everything DVLA related to confirm the address change.
So I'm still at a loss to figure out where this LBC has come from - surely before it gets to this stage I'd expect some debt collectors letters of sorts?! Or do VCS have their own in-house team?
@RedX, I'll send VCS an Suspicious Activity Report and e-mail their 'litigation' team with a rebuttal.0
