Yes it definitely is. I am having an absolute nightmare with it redsquirrel.
More and more money, which I fully understand but paying half a grand already before we've even parted with the deposit is really taking it's toll.
What is your opinion over the guarantor?
Hopefully I should hear back later on today.
I have looked at other options but unfortunately, I don't think we'll be getting our £500 back if we fully fail? Which could be used to find and apply for another flat if nothing comes from this one...

I'd be looking for another place. You can get that £500 'back' in a few months by renting somewhere more sensibly priced, and I don't know that I'd want to be dealing with these agents for the duration of the tenancy anyway!
I admit I don't know Leeds all that well but a quick look on rightmove suggests you can get a perfectly decent flat in the centre for at least £200 a month less than this one.0 -
