I’ve done under 20 drives in a week, therefore I can myself calculate the average (ie add up all the scores and divide through by amount of journeys) and that will give me the average for the last 7 days. Having done that basic maths, the average they provide is about 4 points below what I get.
Do they say how they calculate the average?

  • I know that its probably like comparing apples with oranges, but is it worth trying another measurement in parallel and see how it rates your driving
I'm thinking of the Aviva app, looks like you could at least use it for 200 miles and get a number - of course would not be directly comparable with your current data but might give an indication how your driving style compares with their expectations

I’m looking specifically here at the “last 7 days average” because it’s the easiest to validate. Obviously I can’t remeber all of my scores from each drive, but I can see the last 20. I’ve done under 20 drives in a week, therefore I can myself calculate the average (ie add up all the scores and divide through by amount of journeys) and that will give me the average for the last 7 days. That’s wrong maths, not basic, unless all 20 drives were the same distance and time.

You need to ask them how they calculate their average.
