There was a fault, they fixed the fault. You should be happy that you now have a new part instead of a used one.

Was the work done under warranty?

If so, they aren't going to change anything which is extraneous to the job in hand.

If you wanted a new cam belt, you should ave just paid for the part.

Peter vardy said it was the thermostat and replaced it instead of the water pump. Less than a week later I had to send it back to them saying it wasn't the thermostat and they have said it was the seal on the water pump this time and replaced the seal.

A leak from the water pump is very different from a leak on the thermostat!
Are they giving you the runaround?

Have recently got my car back from Peter vardy to find the old part in the car is the housing for my water pump. Am I correct in thinking that to replace this part they had to disturb my water pump and in turn the timing belt is going to need replacing. Thanks for any help
From your description, they've not done anything wrong - the car had a fault, and they#ve fixed that fault.

If it were me, I'd have asked to pay for a new belt - but its not unreasonable to re-use an old one if its in good condition.

STart using the car and make sure the leak is fixed!
