My Heritage - unwanted subscription!

Hi there,
I'm looking for advice regarding my rights after having signed up for a 14 day free trial with my heritage, and now being charged for a years subscription.
EDIT
I have now phoned the helpline and they have ended my subscription and refunded the money with no qualms. One thing I say, closing the account will not end the subscription, just a heads up to anyone else who wants out of the free trial.

I'm looking for advice regarding my rights after having signed up for a 14 day free trial with my heritage, and now being charged for a years subscription. In hindsight, I wish I'd never sighed up with them in the first place, the site is shoddy and difficult to navigate, I used it once and then attempted to cancel my subscription. After about 5 minutes of going round in circles trying to figure out how to do this, I gave up, made a note of when I needed to cancel my subscription and left it at that. Today (the deadline) I go back into the account and 'think' I have deactivated my account, but still not sure I have actually cancelled my subscription only to find that they have already sent me an email to say they have taken a years subscription out of my bank account. I feel duped because there is no way I want this 'service' and I feel like they have deliberately made it difficult to unsubscribe. I know some people will want to chastise me for this, but all I really want to know is, do I have any rights as a consumer to reclaim that money back? Also, has anyone else here had dealings with this site and can reassure me I have unsubscribed successfully?
TIA:beer:
First time i've been on the site - Took me 15 seconds to find the below.Seems pretty simple to me.1. Opting Out of Renewal
You may opt out of renewing your subscription by logging in and utilizing the My Purchases page (choose the relevant plan, click "View details" and then click "Stop annual renewal") or by calling MyHeritage at +1-800-987-900 (toll-free number in the USA; see Contact Us page for additional phone numbers in other countries). If you do not let us know that you want to discontinue your subscription at least one day prior to the end of the current subscription period, the payment for the next renewal period of the subscription will be made.
2. Free Trial
Free trial subscriptions will be billed only at the end of the free trial period.
You may cancel a free trial at any time during the free trial period from the My Purchases page and incur no charge. On that page, choose "Data subscriptions", press "View details" and then choose "Stop free trial now".0
