Don't understand "Network 2 Internet Access"

When I switched on computer this morning the internet access seems to have changed.
I can't see the usual blue circle and when I hover over the icon it just says Network 2 Internet Access. I have looked around the computer and this seems to be Public Network. How could this have happened and can it be changed back?
It's strange because my Kaspersky on screen keyboard which is normally shown in certain log in boxes isn't there anymore:(

Is your PC a desktop or a laptop?
Do you have a wired connection (Ethernet cable directly plugged into PC) or wireless? (Network card inside PC)
Look in Control Panel --> Device Manager --> Network adapters. There may be two devices listed.
EXAMPLE: my desktop has both Ethernet cable and Wireless connections, via a Network card I fitted some time ago. I have disabled the Network Wireless card and reverted to Ethernet, since I changed ISP, received higher speeds and rebuilt Desktop with a motherboard that gives me Gigabit connection. In Device Manager, both Network card and Realtek Eternet connection are showing, but Network card (wireless) is disabled.I think this job really needs
a much bigger hammer.

Thanks for replying.
It is a desktop with wired internet connection. However, currently have family staying who are using other computers/devices on WiFi.
Checked the Network adapters and it says two things, neither of which make a lot of sense to me:o
Kaspersky Security Data Escort Adapter
Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller
Very confusing!Stopped smoking 27/12/2007, but could start again at any time :eek:0 -
