Unjust parking ticket ParkingEye

Good afternoon,
In April this year I have received a parking charge notice for alleged overstay on the parking in Newcastle showing my entry time of 16:34:29 and leaving time of 18:38:56. My total stay came to 2h 4minutes based on entry and exit. Now, upon entering of the parking we had to wait up to 10 min for a space but whilst we were waiting my partner had went to get the ticket at 16:41 and paid a fee equivalent to 2hours stay. Based on this I have appealed to parking Eye to say that from the time of parking and buying the ticket 2 hours have not elapsed and in fact my overstay is unjustified and I do not recall any information stating the stay starts from the time of entry. I have overstayed in the past and always paid my tickets but I decided to argue this one as I did not agree with it. Nevertheless my appeal was unsuccessful and they still demanded payment. I have ignored any further correspondence based on advice I have read online and from friends.. Last month I have received the county court claim form to which I have not replied as I've barely been home for the past month. Today I received a judgement for claimant in default. I don't know what to do at this point as the total sum has now come to £197. Should I contact a solicitor or is it a lost case already? I am outraged with the whole process as there never is any way of contacting parking Eye to discuss other than a very strict appeal system to which you receive standard replies that some of which don't make sense to average Joe like me.. I am not an English native and even though I speak pretty good English I don't have vocabulary in regards to legal terminology and jargon etc.
Please advise as I am stuck. I tried reading various threads on this forums but it's all very confusing and every case seems to be different.
Thank you all in advance.
Daniel
