Hi folks just wondering if someone could help with pointing me in the right direction. I have a couple of default payments on my credit record which are over 10 years old. I was under the assumption that these would have disappeared after 6 years but they still remain after 10 years. Could someone help with info on how I would get these removed please as Im a little confused as to how this works. Much appreciated in advance for any info thanks

Then you need to write to the creditors and ask them to remove it
Who is it from and what type of debt was it?0 -
Thanks for the reply Gary. I have asked the creditor to remove it but they have refused.
I was under the assumption that the default should have been removed after 6 years ? It was for a credit card and a loan.0 -
What does the date of default show as on the entries?
Have you also checked all 3 of your credit files?0
