I am first time buyer wanting to replace the flooring in the house we are moving to. I am having ceramic tiles in the porch and all of the ground floor (incl w/c and apart from kitchen) with engineered wood.
My main concern is with the kids bedroom. My little one (4yr) is very sensitive. Want to go for a non-carpeted floor and at the same time warm to feet. After doing my research online, I found cork is the ideal one. Natural cork when untreated doesn't looking pleasing to the eyes and also may not last long. But if I treat it or purchase a treated or laminated click cork boards, I believe it defeats the purpose! I have also come across threads in MSE where most of them didn't seem to have a good experience with cork floor.
Could anyone please share your thoughts on this. Thanks in advance.

Sounds good. When it comes to usage, how do you use it? I suppose we are taking hot water driven here? How much does the equipment cost roughly?0 -
An embossed vinyl wouldn't feel cold.
Or he could just wear slippers?0 -
Could you pop a rug down on his floor for him? Engineered wood itself isn't particularly cold so you could use this and have a rug by his bed for when he get up / takes slippers and sock off.
Vinyl will be cold depending on what is under it...we had vinyl on a concrete floor in a rental with zero underlay and it was so cold in the winter my heels cracked if I didn't wear slippers (actually bought cheap ugg style boots from Barrett's for a proper sole)Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16
