Refund onto an expired credit card

Sorry if this isn’t the right place to post.
If a company refunds a credit card that’s expired (because they can only refund the card used to pay for the goods) will it still go into the account/on to the new card?

As long as the account is still open then yes, the refund will find its way back to you without any issues.0
