Which bonus? Do you mean the 20k bonus on £2k spend in first three months?
If so, why would you cancel straight away, you'd lose out on the cheap lounge access?
If you mean the renewal 10k bonus, you can downgrade the card to a regular membership rewards card and get the fee reimbursed.
You can't switch it to the BA card directly, you'd have to apply for a new card, and so long as you've not had a BA card in the last 6 months, you'd be eligible for the welcome bonus on that card too!0 -

On a side note: I was disappointed to learn that the gold card didn't include Priority Pass lounges0 -

The gold card comes with LoungeClub membership. It comes with 2 free passes and additional ones are £15 (via LoungeClub). You should have received a physical card in the post...0 -
The only positive thing I got out of Amex was the LoungeClub pass - which you have to sign up for separately. Once you register with them you will get a LC card in the post to which you just show at participating lounges however you need this pass and cannot get in with just solely the Amex.December 2018 (MSE Joining date)- Unsecured debt: 2018: £52k2019: 45k2020: £33k 2021: £25k2022: £19k2023: £TBC- Mortgage debt:2019: £124k2021: £118k2022: £113k2023: £TBC0

You shouldn’t have to signup separately. When you take out the Amex Gold, the Lounge Club card should just turn up in the post.
Obviously if it doesn’t, give Amex a call, but on the many occasions, between my OH and I, that we’ve taken it out, we’ve never had to.0 -

Basically, yes.
However, you don’t need to close the Gold to be eligible for the BA card, you can hold both together, and You’ll still get the signup bonus for the BA card (providing you haven’t held it in the last six months).0 -
Thanks guys
I found LoungeClub so far to be inferior to Priority Pass, at lest in terms of volume of lounges around the world.0
