Hi im in the process of selling my house and need an home information pack,the estate agents want silly money,does anyone know a cheaper way?

Not sure what you were quoted but to give you an idea of prices I know about -
solicitors I work for charge £355 (inclusive of VAT)
Estate Agents nearby charge £329 (PLUS vat) if you pay up front -or they charge £390 plus VAT if you pay at completion.

I've seen an assessor in my area advertising £95 for the energy certificate only or £249 for the whole pack.

I've read that EA's may advertise them as being 'free' but they just add it into your selling fee.0 -
got mine from hips and hrcs for £279 inc VAT, our estate agent wanted £300ish + vat or £150+ vat if we used there solicitors........ worked out cheaper finding a solicitor and paying £279.
