Hello people, Just a quick question please, I've just logged into my account and I have had two Faster Payment sent into my account with a description of Faster Payment, I have no idea who sent it and I am not expecting it?
Anybody experienced it, as I find this weird.
Thank you for your help and thanks for looking.

Which bank and what amounts?
I had two incoming faster payments to one of my TSB accounts in the last week.
It turned out to be compensation for a complaint I made back in June.0 -
Report it to your bank/building society immediately. DO NOT send any money to anyone contacting you to ask for the money that they have 'mistakenly' paid into your account.
This may be a scam. Let your bank/building society sort this out.
Edit: May be a simple explanation but thought I'd get the warning in quick.0 -
Hello, Thank you for replies, I am with TSB and the two amounts are £525 and £101, two strange amounts! Only thing I can think of is it maybe a complaint I put into the TSB bank back in April as I have had no other contact from them. I just complained about not accessing my account and didn't think about it after that!!
I think I'll ring and check tomorrow so we'll see.
Many thanks for your replies also.0 -

Do you have a mobile registered with them?0 -
Hi, Yes I have a mobile registered with them and both payments say Faster payments and both on the same day which was 2 days ago. I have no idea at present what they are for and yes I also agree that the first one is a rather high amount for any compensation as I wasn't inconvenienced a great deal either, other than I was unable to log into my account for several days from what I can remember as it was 8 months ago. thanks.0

My two payments were £50 and £100 the same as YB.
I didn't receive any text messages only a letter a few days later,0 -
If you have an outstanding complaint then it could well be from that. TSB seem to be compounding their woes by paying compensation before letting customers know. I had money appear before a letter came telling me about itRemember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0
