After taking the hint
from the OH I am looking to buy an Amazon Alexa and set up a music subscription with it.
Been doing some research here and online and I guess the best way to do this is by taking out the 3 month trial and then the full price. Is this the best option? Just looking for some tips here, always pays to ask around in case I am missing something.
Thanks for any help provided

If you also shop from Amazon it might be worth looking at Amazon prime.0

2nd for Amazon Prime, we order so much from there it was silly not to sign up, plus the millions of free songs are an added bonus0

Amazon music unlimited (50 million+ songs) for ALL of your devices, including off line playback is £7.99 per month after the free trial.
The single device version for echo is £3.99 per month after the trial and must be ordered via Alexa
The Prime version is a cut down version, free for Prime subscribers, with 2 million songs
I think that the free trial period varies but it seems to be 30 days at the moment.

As always thanks for the help here folks. Don't really buy much via Amazon so probably just go with the cheaper monthly subscription.
Bubbles you say the £3.99 one has to be ordered on Alexa, not bought it yet so I would have to wait until this was set up before putting the music onto it? Am I reading this correctly?0 -

The £3.99 version has to be ordered via the Alexa device you want to use it on because it pairs the subscription with the device. All other versions can be ordered via Amazon.
Either way, you need an Amazon account."It's nice to be important but more important to be nice"

How is this even possible?:rotfl:
I have two Alexa's and they are brilliant, so good I rarely watch tv these days as there is so much radio and music to explore. Do have the full Prime subscription and recently tried unlimited music for 99p for 3 months but didn't renew as there is plenty on the regular Prime + the tv service is fab too.0 -
I have a spotify account and you can set it up so it uses spotify as your default. They make it a little bit harder for you to do as they would you prefer to use their app. But there is no difference between amazon music and spotify so its just up to you what you can get the best deals on.0

Maybe I'm doing a Hilary Clinton (mis-remembering) but I recall that the Echo only works with Spotify if you have a Spotify Premium account?0

You're not quite Ms. Clinton just yet... you do indeed need a Spotify Premium account in order to use it with an Amazon smart speaker.

Must admit I find it somewhat strange as you can use both the free and paid for Spotify services with Google Home...It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.0 -
Oh it is possible Jim trust me
Anyway I digress, thanks for help in this query and I will decide on what option is the best value for us, cheers again :beer:0
