Blind fitting problem

I had some blinds fitted by one of these companies that post flyers. Chap came and did it when I was out but OH was in. I returned home just as he was about to leave. I could not open the door properly because the fitter had fitted a blind on the back door (which we had asked for) such that it fouled the wall (the door is in a slight recess). When I say I couldn't open the door I mean I had to squeeze through sideways and I'm a slim chap. I said I wasn't happy; since OH had already paid by this point I asked chap to remove offending blind and refund me for it, which (after contecting 'head office') he did.
The problem is I now have 3 holes in my UPVC back door (two mounting and one for a cord holder). I think any competent blind fitter should have foreseen this problem and not fitted the blinds. Am I within my rights to insist my door is returned to how it was? I and the blinds company are still talking but they are starting to get a bit evasive. I suspect they are going to say because I accepted a refund that's the end of the matter but I don't see it quite that way. I don't want to take the p*** and ask for a new door but I feel I should be entitled to a repair by a competent person. Any thoughts?

You won't get a new door but you may get a competent person who can repair it using something like this

Do you think that'll polish the holes out?0 -
