Exchange now or after brexit plan is finalised?

  • You've just answered your own query - "very close to" means you've already agreed to buy this property.

Erm... no.. I agreed to buy this property in August/September under the illusion that this government would be competent enough to reach a brexit deal. You can't blame buyers for hesitancy given the state of political turmoil - I don't think it has ever been as tumultuous.

The government have reached a deal. All it now needs is to be voted through by Parliament.

Let's not forget that absolutely everybody outside the government agree in their opinion of the deal. Since that includes people on both sides of the debate, you have to admire them for managing to steer that centre path so skilfully...

This whole thing is a disaster. Yes, they have reached a deal, but one which will be voted out by parliament. It's not their fault - brexit is a stupid decision and no brexit deal will unify the country

I'm sure your vendor won't bat an eyelash at you telling them that if you decide to break your agreement with them:cool::cool::cool:

If I was the vendor, I would not be waiting for you to deal with your political anxieties. You either exchange or it goes back on the market.
Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.

If the seller can find another buyer in this market then kudos to him, but he probably won't.
