  • Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one, especially Holly, its a shame that none of us live near enough to be able to go and help her.

Off to Aldi this , morning OH is going with me, he will sit in the car and read. I do not need a lot, a bit of stocking up against a bad winter/brexit, if it happens.

Table runner was very well received yesterday, so thats one thing, ploughing my way through the mats just now, have promised I will post everything next Tuesday.

Quiche and salad tonight for supper.

    Red :j

There's some photos of the previous one hanging about on MSE. This one must be second generation or so.
  • good morning, everybody - still damp and dreary here today, but not quite as windy as yesterday.

I've had a quick read-through the posts so far, but not able to reply to everybody in person.

((((Gentle Hugs)))) and prayers to all who need them (or want them).

I've got Nathan-sitting again today and I've been asked to prepare/cook a Sausage Casserole for their evening meal tonight ...................... yesterday I did Cottage Pie with Green Beans for them.

Have a good 'Old Style Day', everybody :j!
  • NELSKI thanks for the update on our dear HOLLY. Not good news but if she is now back home maybe she is reading along, even if she doesn't feel like posting, and knows we are all thinking of her. If so much love and strength to you HOLLY. I am pleased you are getting much needed support from the professional care team xx

  • Good morning all x
Was up again at 4 with the dog wanting to go out. But bless her she went back to bed straight after and I slept through the alarm and woke up at 7 with her buried under the quilt next to me.
Loads to do today but will not list anything just work through what I know I have to do( gave up on lists as I got too depressed when I didn't complete them)
Walked Belle ( the dog) already this morning but she will want another at lunchtime and again tonight.
New meds seem to be working so far so just keeping fingers crossed x
Burgers for dinner tonight if I remember to get mince out of freezer in time lol

Morning!! Todays advent chocolate is a hazlenut slice, and I like nuts so yay.
Well, can't believe how much I did yesterday. Boiled the quince, so got the jelly and the membrillo to make today, house smells lovely! Cleared the table and moved it, cleared the sewing cabinet, threw out quite a bit of stuff, put the summer shoes away in the sofa [ I have about ten pairs of shoes and boots now, before I got plantar fasciitis years ago, I only ever had two permanent pairs, a pair of docs, a pair of baseball boots and then a pair of sandals in the summer...now I'm like Imelda...] Overlocked the hem, and finished the skirt yesterday too at sewing lessons.
I think all the activity had something to do with the seven or eight cups of coffee I drank, considering I usually have one...
Got abother 7 things to cross of the list before Saturday....

Wee Midgie, you can if you can plug it in yes. You can try googling your TV type to se if anyone has had the same problem and how they fixed it...redruby, what's a summer in winter chicken? Nelski, you do like a bit of liver :) TA, you could see your doc..also, my ex MIL used to spend all day dozing in her chair in front of the TV, then when it came time to go to bed, she'd complain she couldn't sleep, she'd forget she'd been alseep most of the day. Not saying you are doing this but just something to keep in mind..Sorry you're having a crap time Holly, and anyone else who is..Wotcha Poppy. Hester, the dog sounds funny ..Mrs SD, did like the coment about doing that to get out of going to yoga
Hope everyone is having a good a Thursday as they can, sparkly sparklers and twinkly lights to anyone having a !!!! time..or a good time....

  • Morning all and thank you for the thread nmlc.

Am feeling a bit bleurgh from lack of sleep. It is a dismal day so I'm not going out, things I need to do can wait as they don't have to be done today.

Tru, thank you for the daily csrok/Christmas song, they sre a treat.

TA I think you must be emotionally exhausted at present. Be kind to yourself as well as being so kind to others.

Have abandoned my reindeer, I didn't like the way it was coming out and felt too lazy to write my own pattern, which for me really is laziness. Back to elf making, made one for a friend as a thank you but she has several grand hidden so need to make sure they all get one.

Washing going round in the wm a and will have to stick it on the rack later.

Thinking of TA, Poppy, Snoozer and Holly but sending positive thoughts go those who would like them.
I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back

Thanks Speky and taff for your thoughts re the TV DVD. I had a thought that it has the same mechanism as a car CD player and got the solution on YouTube. All sorted! So much for the TV engineer's defeatism!

Sorry to read that Holly's at home alone, yes it would be great to be able to support you in person Holly, but if you're reading along, please accept virtual hugs aplenty. Same for Poppy too, and snoozer, Csarina and all our other old stylers who have a lot on various plates.

Gers, how lovely to have red squirrels visiting. When you casually say you're off down the road, I know that journey, it's not an easy drive.

Had to laugh at your doggy alarm, Hester.

Just having soup in a mug then I'll be out to food shop.

Have a good afternoon everyone. xxx

    Afternoon everybody.

DGD had her school Christmas concert this morning, took her dad who doesn't drive.....stayed outside for a few minutes talking to a friend and missed her bit of concert.....this in a parish where everything normally starts late.....I was shocked!

Mild day here but feels damp so no clothes on line.....hate things hanging around the house but needs must etc.

Repaired denture still not working for, can't eat with them so will have to have a new set after Christmas .......more money.

Much love and positive vibes to all in need of want of them, special hugs to TA and Holly.
