I have read in a number of places tonight that the £10 xmas bonus will NOT be paid to UC claimants.

Alice Holt Forest situated some 4 miles south of Farnham forms the most northerly gateway to the South Downs National Park.0

It isn't in UC legislation that a christmas bonus would/could be paid.0

I suspect it's yet another snide little cut brought in by this Government.0

Many people claim a benefit because they're unable to work because of a disability or health condition, if they were able to work they would. I'm one of those and i know for a fact i'd love to go out to work, like yourself. Unfortunately my health won't allow me to do that.KatrinaWaves wrote: »Genuine question, but I don't get a Christmas bonus from my work, many jobs don't get a Christmas bonus, why should benefits?
Yes its only a tenner, but all those tenners add up.
Yes, it's only a tenner as you say but please don't judge others....0 -
I am not sure how my comment is taking as judgmental. I was just commenting that many people across the country do not get a christmas bonus. It was not a jibe at those who cannot work, or event hose who choose not to work!0

I thought the £10 bonus was a bonus for pensioners. Is it more widely available than this? In any event paying it separately is expensive and unnecessary so it ought to be added to pensions and anyone else who is (or abolished but that would be unpopular)0

It is more than just pensioners, it was paid on jobseekers and employment support allowance, perhaps some others too.0
