Section 75

Hi I'm new to the forum and hope I'm posting in the correct forum - re section 75.
I purchased some white goods from Very home shopping and took out a payment plan of 3 interest free equal monthly payments. I have an issue with the goods and I am corresponding with Very trying to get a replacement part. I also contacted my credit card company as the goods cost more than £100 but was told that section 75 is not valid, as I am making 3 payments its classed as finance and section 75 does not cover paying finance but if i had made 1 payment the goods would have been covered.
Could someone advise if this correct. Thank you

What are the details of the payment plan? Who is providing it.
It sounds as if it is effectively credit to buy the goods, in which your claim is with the provider of the credit, rather than your card provider.0 -
Hi, The payment method was either one full payment or 3 equal interest free payment over 3 consecutive months and its through Very the company whom I purchased the item from. So basically I went on their website ordered and had delivered a washing machine and payed in installments. Thanks0

If it's this deal
https://www.very.co.uk/web/en/take3.page
then it's credit provided by Shop Direct, so you should put your claim in with them.
Your credit card is simply paying off the finance.0 -
Yes that's the deal. I think that both Very and Shop Direct must have a connection. So the credit card company were correct. Thank you for your help.0
