Got a call back from Scottish Power directors complaint department, once again got the we can’t raise a complaint as you haven’t got an account , sigh but at least the lady was polite and listened to my concerns as an ex Exra Energy customer. Then she decided to look at their computer system , and lo and behold an account has been set up , on the 5 December,so complaint can now go forward . Also now I can attempt to switch again ,
First switch Was blocked on the 7th December.
Why are Scottish power not informing ex Extra Emergy customers that the accounts have been set up ?
Could it be that they want to delay any Ex extra Emergy customers from switching?0 -

I guess SP are gradually working through the almost 130,000 cutomer accounts of Extra Energy and gradully creating new accounts for each and every one of them.
I very much doubt that it all happens instantaneously, and SP were only appointed as a new supplier as of Sunday 25 November.
Ofgem did advise it would take weeks.
Possibly, as you have complained stating your wish to leave SP sooner rather than later (matched by a premature switch request), SP have pushed you up the queue to allow you to now switch.0 -
So the farce continues, Scottish power allowed my gas account to go to new supplier but not the electric account , called SP customer service team , who stated tha SP had been instructed by Ofgem to block all Extra Energy Customers from switching . Obvious Lie as gas account has been switched , asked SP rep for written conformation of that instruction, she refused , asked to speak to line manager , refused, asked why gas account has be transferred but not the electric account and was told the gas account should not have been transferred, and refused to comment why the electric had not . But again repeated the switch was stopped on the say so of Ofgem .
Contacted Ofgem , explained the situation . Ofgem stated that they had not instructed SP to prevent EE customers from switching , and he has sent a email to me confirming that .
Sound like SP have lost control of the situation and the Extra Energy accounts setup is going to take a lot longer than they thought , of course this means tha Extra Energy customers will be seriously ripped off by having to pay extortionate charges to SP as we will not be allowed to switch .0
