Bwlegal

newb here, ive read as many forum posts as i can but im still confused and couldn't find anything that matched my situation..so sorry!

we have received a letter today from Premier Parking Solutions advising our "account has been passed to our legal team" followed by a letter from BWLEGAL stating that they have been instructed by PPS in relation to the balance due for PCN dated 12/12/2016.

we have been given 16 days to pay the £100 PCN and £60 legal costs, if not received " we will seek our clients instructions to commence legal proceedings against you in the county court"

we have received letters such as this a year ago from Debt Recovery Plus, i appealed to them at the time and they provided 2 images as evidence (can post if required) but where unable to send me a copy of the original PCN, i advised as the images show me neither in the space or even my number plate that i wont be paying.

2 years later we have now received this letter from BWLEGAL and am not sure if this is another scare tactic and am unsure how best to proceed now?

we are just settling into things after the birth of our first child and the last thing we need is court hearings.

sorry for long post!

its a debt collector letter, IGNORE

wait for the LBC which will give 30 days notice and have financial forms attached

meantime send PPS a SAR under GDPR to their DPO contact, to get all the evidence on you, use the legal beagles template and adapt it as required

As Redx says it's just a debt crawler letter. A real LBC must prove the case they claim and give you 30 days to respond

This is the clue to the fake £60 BWLegal add on ....
The clue is DRP and they state ....

THE £60 SCAM OPERATED BY DRP ?
If you get a letter from DRP for £160 it's because they
tell parking companies that their fees will be added
to the parking charge. However they also tell PPC's
"We offer a ‘no collection, no fee service"
This simply means that if you do not pay and they
do not collect the service is FREE to the PPC.
    THE DRP SITE
    http://www.debtrecoveryplus.co.uk/pcn-collection/

So, you can see BWLEGAL are telling you porkies and they are attempting to extort money from you.

    HENCE ....
    BWLEGAL ADD ON A FAKE £60 ?
In addition to the 'parking charge', the Claimant's legal representatives, BWLegal, have artificially inflated the value of the Claim by adding costs of £60 which has not actually been incurred by the Claimant, and which are artificially invented figures in an attempt to circumvent the Small Claims costs rules using double recovery. >>>> thanks to bargepole

This fakery is well worth a complaint to the SRA
