First Direct Switch Gift

Hi all,
Switched to FD back in September (the Bose bluetooth speaker available as a special gift through MSE switch did it for me) but unfortunately doesn't look like I'm going to get one. At the eleventh hour I was informed that Bose was short of parts and I would receive an alternative instead, a Bang & Olufsen Beoplay P2.
The new item is actually valued at about £30 less than the Bose item but a leather pouch is included which costs - wait for it, £40.
Initially thought OK lets go with it - delivery between 24/11 and 05/12 2018 - well over a month after I should have got my gift. I don't expect I'll see it today but feel like I've been duped as I can go to my local Currys store and pick a Bose one up now.
Just wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience with this switch to a bank that reportedly comes out top in MSE's customer service surveys.

Today I switched away from FD to get the £100 leaving bonus and, despite calling them in advance to agree I had met the criteria (they said it would be added to the closure balance), they switched without adding the bonus.

My wife previously had the same problem and it took lots of chasing frustrated by not being an active customer. Sigh.
