Parking Fine Help.

Last week I met up with a friend for a drink in a hotel they were staying at. As I got to the hotel, there was a big sign at the entrance saying parking for hotel guests only. I did a u turn and parked on the street. At no point did I enter the car park.

However their ANPR got me on the approach and clocked me as I left, and I have received a fine for £100 from Parking Eye. Fuming is an understatement. Any advice on my appeal?

What's the name and location of the hotel and did you actually enter the car park?

EDIT: Just re-read your post and noticed you said "At no point did I enter the car park" therefore their images should prove this. Obviously (from your account) you havn't 'entered into a contract' with them so their 'invoice' is null and void.

I would follow their 'appeal' process and indicate that you never entered the car park so invite them to provide proof otherwise you will consider the matter closed.

What entry and exit times are showing on the Notice to Keeper (NtK)?

Does the reverse page of your NtK contain a paragraph about the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012, which commences 'You are notified under paragraph 9(2)(b) of Schedule 4 ..... '. And a further paragraph which commences ' You are warned that if, after 29 days from the date given ....'?
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

It is an hour apart, when I left. I did a U turn, and parked with my back to the "out camera" when I drove off this obviously triggered the camera again.

Yes it does have tha legal stuff on the back.

I have submitted the appeal, as advised saying I didn't enter the car park and they should check the CCTV.

You should be thinking of involving Trading Standards local to this car park.

Are you saying that the ANPR cameras are picking up vehicle movement while still on the public highway?
