Duel Boot

You don't save XP to the Virtual Box - it's, well, a Virtual Box - a virtual, blank, empty PC. You need to install XP onto it. Then you can install Flight Sim 98 onto that Windows. This will all happen in a Virtual Hard drive file on your real hard drive, and will work better than trying to install XP on your modern, real hardware as above. I guess a 10GB virtual hard drive will be fine. See what the RAM requirements of Flight Sim 98 are, and set the VirtualBox a good bit above that. Don't bother with giving this Virtual Box any more than 1 CPU core either.0

Per the thread title, what's "duel boot"? Is it where two operating systems fight against each other?0

Yeah... What's the model of your laptop, aardvark?
XP runs incredibly fast in a virtual machine... But I find that a lot of games and graphics-intensive programs don't run (or run badly). I suspect there might be problems running a flight sim in a VM, but it's worth a try.

I run 32 bit Windows XP on a 64 bit Windows PC, including serial port and printers in a virtual box. The XP installation can be isolated from the network and therefore doesn’t need anti-virus or updates, it runs like greased lightning.
When I click on your link for VB how do I start the download is it at "Windoew Hosts"?0 -

Is there anything written after the G6? Maybe on a label or in system properties? The full model name will be something like G6-2204sa or G6-1c60ca or something like that.
HP have XP drivers for some G6 models on their FTP site (but not on the website). When I click on your link for VB how do I start the download is it at "Windoew Hosts"?
Yep. The "host" is the physical machine. The "guest" is the virtual machine that runs inside the host.0 -
The G6 comes in literally thousands of versions. The full model number should be either on the bottom of the unit or typically under the battery.0
