I also generate delivery codes but only for my packages, not for my large letters..
Although there isn't delivery confirmation for BPL large letters I assume the label still has the square QR code which is what contains the data about the parcel size, weight, etc.
When you purchase through Click and Drop as a personal customer large letters still have a QR code despite no delivery confirmationIn the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces0 -

Yep, my large letters still generate a code and bar code it just doesn't do anything. I don't know what personal users of click and drop get though, is it the same as a business user?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. You can go on Click and Drop and just buy one label, they look exactly the same as those us business users get and no delivery confirmation for large letters. I think it's 10% cheaper than the Post Office (£1.26 for a 2nd Class LL 101-250g for example).
The posties are scanning all these 2D barcodes and the PDA seems to beep along as usual, although Royal Mail doesn't offer BPL users delivery confirmation I do wonder if they have it on their internal system.
Would be interesting to know if any BPL users have had a claim declined as Royal Mail said the parcel was delivered. In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces0
